Our Mission

Our Vision

To create establish a common forum for all architecture students to harness and maximize their resources and potentials by the realization of National Association.

Our History

In 1976, a pivotal gathering of representatives from various schools of architecture across Nigeria convened at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. Their shared vision was fueled by a collective determination to foster greater understanding and collaboration within the Nigerian architectural community. On the historic date of April 16th, they laid the foundation for what would become a cornerstone of architectural education and practice in the country.

Unified by their conviction that harnessing the diverse talents and resources of architecture students could propel societal progress, the assembly embarked on a mission to establish a national organization. Their aim was clear: to create a common platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences, while nurturing a sense of camaraderie and purpose among budding architects.

With resolute determination, they resolved to strengthen the bonds between individual schools of architecture by instituting a shared institution. This bold initiative sought to bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and elevate the standards of architectural education and practice nationwide.

Over the years, the spirit of unity and progress that characterized the founding of this organization endured. In November 2019, a significant milestone was reached when a General Congress convened to inaugurate a Constitution Review Committee. Charged with the vital task of refining and updating the organization’s constitution, the committee embarked on a thorough process of consultation, deliberation, and revision.

After meticulous scrutiny and input from members, a revised constitution emerged. This document, a testament to the commitment and vision of generations of architecture students, stands as a blueprint for the continued advancement and prosperity of the architectural community in Nigeria.
